Experience this beautiful country, gain a new perspective and genuinely connect with locals while working alongside them to strengthen their communities. You will experience their culture and traditions firsthand — not as an outsider but as a friend.
After arriving in Guatemala City, you’ll head about an hour South West to the beautiful town of Antigua. Antigua will be the home base for much of the trip.
It is known for its Colonial Era Spanish architecture, it is also surrounded by three beautiful volcanoes. Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango volcanos can all be seen on a clear day. You’ll get settled in, and meet your guides.
Once we’re acquainted we’ll go out to dinner as a group to get the good vibes rolling!

We’ll start the day by having breakfast and delicious Guatemalan coffee together. After we’ve finished up, our Adventure Guide will take the group on a walking tour through the vibrant, cobblestone streets of Antigua.
This town is rich in history and culture. Diego, our guide, is a Guatemalan local and a very knowledgeable person. He’ll be able to answer any questions you may have along the way.
During the middle of the day, we will tour Ecofiltro, the company that makes the water filters that we will distribute during the project.
We will finish the evening with a cooking class where we will cook our own dinner!

After an early breakfast, we will head to the base of a majestic volcano called Pacaya where you will be able to roast marshmallows on hot lava!
Pacaya volcano is one of the many (active) volcanoes near Antigua, rising to an elevation of 2,552 meters. The hike to the summit is gradual and manageable for nearly anyone and the views at the top are breathtaking.

This is the second and last day that we’ll be working alongside the community to increase access to clean water, education, and health services in partnership with non-profit partner Creamos
We’ll pick up where we left off the previous day, and work hard to get as much done as we can.
There will be a few fun surprise activities.

After breakfast, we will take off for a 3-hour drive to Atitlán.
Lake Atitlán is a large volcanic lake located in the Guatemalan highlands. It is known for its stunningly beautiful landscapes and traditional Mayan culture. The lake is surrounded by small towns and villages, each with their own unique character and charm.
Once we arrive at the lakeside town of Panajachel we will take a boat tour of the lake to explore the different villages that surround it and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes.

After breakfast we will make a the 3-hour journey back to Antigua where you will have a free afternoon to enjoy Antigua and maybe grab some last-minute souvenirs.
We will finish off the day with a special farewell dinner.
